Devices are everywhere. They're cheap and they are accessible. Very accessible.
As it is with everything else on this planet, devices can be put to good use and bad use.
Most personal devices (laptop, desktop pc, tablet, phone) can access the internet.. This requires your attention. I'll share 5 quick thoughts on kids and the internet.
1. The internet and devices used to access it are not evil. The world of information and experiences that they expose you and your children to is mixed - good and evil. The internet becomes to you what YOU allow it to be. Decide to make it good, clean and uplifting for your family.
2. Invest the time to educate your children properly about the internet.
3. Place further safeguards on all your devices.
4. Plan your child's internet usage. Define and set limits for every aspect of their interaction with the internet.
5. Touch base with your children regularly to review what they have encountered online.
I'll flesh these out as time goes by.
I'm glad to report that we have published a new, revised, re-imagined Android app.
You can get it here by clicking on the image of the picture of the home screen below, or this link right here.
By God's graces, with all I've got and without everything I have not yet got, I HAVE STARTED!!!
It feels good to yell that out.
My journey has been a long one. I have tried many ventures in the past and in some I have not done well AT ALL.
I have associates who were involved in those ventures - and that's all they remember when they think of me. Seriously, I don't hold it against them. Rather I can relate with the disappointment because I too have been disappointed and betrayed when I abdicated my responsibilities and blindly trusted people in the past.
Everyday I'm learning to let people live where they live, and love them all the same. I'm learning to make new friends... because sometimes (due to no fault of theirs) some old ones left a long time ago, but they still live next door.
Writing about this for me is therapeutic. It also helps people understand my many different smiles - and the absence of those smiles from time to time.
I'm re-modelling my life with things that delight my soul. I am bearing fruit that will endure.
I am at the same time running my other businesses - oh yes - Crystalmedia360 is a business (more on that soon)
I had a chat with a vendor/friend today and he was very dutiful in letting me know how small we were and how far we had to go. I thanked him so much and asked him to keep in touch. Wetin you want make I tell am?
Meanwhile, we are still pumping clean cutting edge music and making the news of the Kingdom heard all around the world. If you want to continue enjoying this great stuff, spread the word - tell a friend. Tweet about us, send the app link to 2,000 contacts.

The background isn't just a background. It's the album art, track title and artiste name for the current track.
but wait... there's more - that artwork+media player is actually sitting in our mobile-optimized website.
From this app, you have it all. The latest music, movies, inspirational sermons and sound advice - all of Crystalmedia - RIGHT WITH YOU!

If you're like me you've noticed the fuss that's been kicked up over Tasha Cobbs featuring Nicki Minaj on her latest album. The track is titled 'I'm getting ready'. Nicki delivers an eight bar rap speaking of coming up in life with God's help and approval:
Here are her lines:
I don't gotta talk the Lord defends me
I watch them all fall for going against me
'Cause me and all my angels shot the devil up
While you was trying to pull me down I levelled up
I levelled up twice, I levelled up three times
He tapped 'em and told 'em "she's mine"
So even when I cried I knew I'd be fine
Prepare for a miracle blessing in these times
Now praise Him, raise Him, name it, claim it
Every tongue that rises up against me, shame it
I breathe success in and out my lungs
I got the power of life and death coming out of my tongue
Strangely enough as at the time of this log, the song isn't listed on Tasha's Youtube account - but it's everywhere else. On one account (video below) it has had 390k views.
Needless to say there have been comments both pro and against this collaboration.
Some of the interesting posts I saw are below:
"Why is it every time I get closer to God you judgmental Christians ruin it for me? Why do you people think that you are better than nicki? Okay she has sin a lot but haven't we all? She found God and believes in him isn't that beautiful? This song is beautiful and I'm glad that nicki dare this to do and I am also proud of Tasha that she allowed nicki to do this with her "
"Great Gospel move... There is no way Tasha's message of the gospel will reach Nicki's fans except through Nicki.. Just with this song alone you can't imagine how many new people will catch the message and heaven will rejoice. Hallelujah🙌"
"Lana Mein sister it is a blessing to (hear) that you have turned your life over to God. However, you have to study your bible and learn about what it says. For example, when the word of God talks about not judging it's talking about how in (the) Old Testament men had the power to stone or kill that person who was caught in a sinful act. Christ forbid that because we don't have a right to kill anyone who has sinned. This is why the Bible says let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Those men were ready to stone a woman to death because of her adulteress acts. Christ didn't allow it because we would all have met the same fate at some point in our lives cause all have sinned and fallen short of his word. However, the Bible does teach the judgement of sin meaning correct a person when they are wrong or found in sin. Once they except that they have sinned then we are suppose to restore them. Christ did this throughout the scriptures as well as the apostle Paul and his disciples. He exposed sin in order to get them to recognize that they needed a change. Nikki needs to know the same thing. A lot of these entertainers think that because they did a good deed, thanked god, did a gospel song, or say they're sorry and go right back to what they just said sorry for. The devil has them deceived. The Bible says how can you speak words of curses and blessings out of the same mouth. It doesn't work like that one must reject the world in order to be saved. The Bible says, holiness without no man shall see God. The Bible says, shall we continue in sin that grace may abide? God forbids it! So many scriptures that you will come across that will blow your mind but the only way you will come to the full knowledge of this truth is to study your word, not just read. Find a church that teaches repentance and not this new gospel of grace that you here these televangelist talk about. Shalom sis "
I found John and Aventer Gray's comments on this matter particularly interesting. Take a look:
Beyond stating the obvious (there is nothing inappropriate about the song's lyrics or message),
I think Christians should not get excited or agitated by the song - I think non-christians should be attracted to it.
Now this bit is harsh: It is very immature to assume that your judgement of an issue should be adopted by another believer. In doing that, you want to replace the Holy Spirit with your dictates. Feel free to share your convictions, but leave it there. After all your convictions should not be strengthened by the number of people that bow to them.
God bless everyone who advances the Kingdom. When the day is done, our hearts will be tried along with our works.
I pray we build with the right materials.
